X-Mode
X-Mode is designed to help negotiate challenging terrain and slippery road conditions at low speeds, activating it will adjust the traction available to each wheel. With two modes available, via a switch in the centre console, you can choose 'SNOW & DIRT' or 'DEEP SNOW & MUD'.
Grip control
Grip Control is an additional X-Mode feature which delivers superior grip to help prevent wheel slipping. This function works to maintain a constant low speed of approximately 2 – 10 km/hr, with increments of 2 km/hr, to prevent slipping when travelling uphill, on flat roads or when traversing rough roads.
Ground Clearance
Subaru Solterra boasts an impressive ground clearance of 212mm*. With this all-road SUV ability Subaru Solterra is made for adventure, making those harder to reach spots more accessible.
Low centre of gravity
The Subaru Solterra boasts a low centre of gravity with the central positioning of the main drive battery, under the floor between the front and rear wheels. This gives Subaru Solterra impressive balance and handling; however this has not been achieved at the cost of its ground clearance*.
Drivetrain Symmetrical All Wheel Drive
The aim of the Subaru Solterra’s design is to distribute the vehicle’s weight as evenly as possible across all four tyres, for the greatest total balance. As a result of the symmetrical drive train design, vehicle grip is maximised, giving the driver optimum control.
Interior Human-centred design
Putting the human factor centre stage, Subaru Solterra has been designed for a seamless, comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. Designed from the perspective of the driver, the cockpit layout puts everything within optimal sight and reach. From the smaller, more compact steering wheel, to the top mounted, 7" multi-information digital display. Positioned just below the driver’s line of sight, with a view to the road ahead, the digital display provides instant access to essential vehicle information, while reducing eye movement fatigue.

From the smaller, more compact steering wheel; to the top mounted, 7” multi-information digital display positioned to allow the driver to keep their focus on the road.
Steering wheel switches
The intuitive and easy-to-use steering wheel switches place the most important and regularly used functions, closest to the driver’s hands. The driving assist features are positioned top right of the steering wheel – while infotainment, phone functions and the 4-way display/select button are positioned top left, with audio functions below.
Safety Systems Subaru Safety Sense
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) Using millimetre wave radar this function keeps the vehicle at a constant pre-set distance from the vehicle in front, based on the preceding vehicle’s speed and within your pre-set distance selection. Pre-Collision System (PCS) This system combines millimetre wave radar, with a monocular camera sensor, to help recognise and warn of potentially dangerous situations and to support the driver when required via the Pre-collision Warning (PCW), Pre-collision Brake Assist (PBA), and Pre-collision Braking (PB) functions. Road Sign Assist (RSA) The camera can recognise speed signs and assists the driver by displaying the detected speed limit on the instrument panel, and by also showing a visual warning if the speed limit is exceeded.
Safety Designs Subaru's Driver Monitoring System
Subaru’s Driver Monitoring System – Driver Focus (DMS)* constantly monitors the driver’s attention to help reduce the chance of accidents due to driver distraction and fatigue. The system uses near infrared LEDs and a camera to recognise when the driver’s attention is waning or if they start to fall asleep. An alert can then warn the driver, reminding them to refocus on the road ahead.

Tailored seating comfort
The 8‑way power driver's seat ensures personalised comfort, with Subaru Solterra AWD Touring extending the 8‑way power function to the passenger seat and including a dual memory function to record the preferences of the driver*. The adjustment range for the front power seats includes tilt, recline and lift functions enhancing occupant comfort, while the front and rear outbound seats are also heated.

Powered tailgate
Enjoy the convenience of a hands‑free powered tailgate, for easy access to the boot when you have your hands full. 1. The Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) is the minimum future value of your vehicle as determined by Subaru Financial Services (SFS) and set out in your contract. At the end of the term, you can select from three options: (1) sell or trade in the vehicle and repay your loan balance; (2) return the vehicle to us; or (3) retain the vehicle by paying the GFV amount, which is a lump sum amount owed to us at the end of the loan term. Total interest payable on the loan will be higher than a loan with no GFV. Monthly repayments will be lower compared to a similar loan term with no GFV or no equivalent balloon final payment.
